Batadomba Lena near Kuruwita in Ratnapura District is one of the most famous archaeoligical site where findings of the stone age Balangoda men were excavated. However, nothing of the prehistoric Balangoda culture can be seen in situ. Batadomba Lena is nevertheless a picturesque rock shelter typical of Sri Lanka. It’s privately owned by the nearby rubber plantation. The 1.5 km jike from the car park is quite scenic and you will rarely meet any other freign tourists in this remote area.
