Guest House in Mihintale
If you like to visit Sri Lanka's very first World Heritage Site, Anuradhapura, why not being my guest in nearby Mihintale? My family and I run our own guest house called "First House Mihintale". It's situatued in a perfectly calm surrounding not far from top attractions of Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle.
Anuradhapura was one of most significant centres of Buddhist culture in Asia. Today it's Sri Lanka's renowned Buddhist pigrimage site, second only to the Sacred Tooth Relic Temple in Kandy. Staying in my guesthouse, you don't need to cross Anuradhapura New Town to arrive at the ancient sites and holy places. My hometown Mihintale in is an attraction in itself, known as the "cradle of Buddhism in Sri Lanka". It's also the world most ancient animal sanctuary, eco-protection for 2300 years now. more... |
