This full-day round tour is an extraordinary combination of two travel highlights, which offer unforgettable nature experiences for adults and kids alike, namely the elephants of Pinnawela and the water activities in Kitulgala.

We leave the hotel in Kandy at 8.00 am to be early enough in Pinnawela to visit the Elephant Orphanage or Millennium Elephant Foundation according to your choice, to be sure your do not miss the morning elephant bath in the nearby river called Maha Oya.

At around 11.00 am we will leave Pinnawela to proceed to the deep-cut river valley of the Kelani Ganga, where you can enjoy two different waterfun activities in Kitulgala, one after another, first the amazing river rafting with seven rapids of categories 3 and 4, afterwards canyoning with safe pool jumping ans waterfall glides.

The tour is a loop, the return to Kandy will be the direct route crossing Ginigathena Pass, where you will enjoy highland views in the late afternoon for concluding the amazing day in a relaxed way.
