QUOTATION TERMS

While we, Lanka Excursions Holidays & First House,
endeavor to provide quotation itinerary and price with the utmost precision, actual booking may vary due to number of factors.

Validity

Our quotations are valid for 45 days from Quotation Date, unless otherwise specifically written.
Quotations past the validity date are rendered null and void and should not be relied upon by the client.

Limitations

In the quotation phase, none of the mentioned services, such as hotels, will be booked.
Lanka Excursions Holidays does not conduct ‘availability-checks’ before actual booking.

Upon acceptance of the quotation by the client, Lanka Excursions Holidays will use its best efforts to confirm bookings exactly as quoted. If not available, we will confirm the next best available option. Any cost increment will be specified.

If a sector is fully booked, train schedules may render a quoted program unworkable. If so, we will do our best to suggest the best available alternative.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS for BOOKINGS

Unless otherwise specifically agreed to, our General Terms and Conditions will apply at the time of booking.

Rates and Currencies

All rates are based on a per person basis, inclusive of any VAT and service charge.
Rates are either in local currency, Euros or US Dollars, as indicated in the quotation.

Bookings

Lanka Excursions Holidays & First House is passionate about delivering excellent travel experiences to the clients of our agents. As such, booking requests are handled directly by Nuwan Gajanayka and Ando Sundermann.

Changing a Reservation

You can move an existing tour / booking prior to 30 days before arrival as long as you pay applicable additional supplements and if rooms / activities are actually available in the mentioned hotels and activity locations.

Payment

* Payment is due on the date specified as "due date" on our invoice.
* Due date will not be earlier than 21 days before arrival of clients, except in case of deposits (down payments) as described below.
* Invoice amount is net. E&OE Invoice.
* For international transfers, the sender MUST bear all international bank charges.
* Lanka Excursions Holidays reserves the right to cancel any arrangements without notification if payments have not been received by the due date.

A minimum down payment of 20% is required to secure your booking, with the remainder of the balance due 21 days prior to arrival. Please note that, if any activities or hotels require payment in advance, your down payment may end up being higher than 20%.

If your arrival is with the next 21 days. You are likely to be asked for the full amount to be paid upfront.

Deposits

Deposits may be needed to secure certain reservations, such as for transfers or hotel allotments. Deposits, if any, will be communicated in advance, and typically invoiced separately.

Cancellation and No-Show policy

We realize that the majority of those who cancel their reservations do so out of necessity. Our lenient cancellation policy takes this into account.
In case of cancellation, fees will be charged as follows:

Cancellation Policy:
•   In case of cancelling after the confirmation: 20% will be charged
•   In case of cancelling less than 21 days prior to arrival: 100% will be charged
•   In case of no-show: 100% will be charged

We recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering all kinds of cancellations.

Please note that the above charges are excluding any non-refundable deposits. Lanka Excursions Holidas endeavors to disclose such non-refundable deposits upon confirmation, but cannot be held responsible for such fees charged by third parties. Lanka Excursions Holidays reserves the right to give no refund in case of cancellation of the remaining program, in full or part, by the travelers after the started the tour.

Cancellation of particular services or activities after tour start:
• Pre-booked arrangements not used by the client during his journey are NOT REFUNDABLE.

Handling of Complaints

Complaints and suggestions are accepted only, if Lanka Excursions Holidays was informed during the tour in time allowing us to react in time.

In case the guide or the driver or a hoteliers or our service suppliers seems to provide misleading information that could motivate you to not make use of pre-booked arrangements and that raise your suspicion, inform us via the contact ways mentioned in the contact box to the right, allowing us to settle the issue on the spot.

Travelers' Responsibility

Travelers are responsible for having proper travel documents, such as a valid passport with enough pages, the proper visas and the necessary passport pictures. Lanka Excursions Holidays advises travelers to have proper and adequate travel insurance for the duration of their trip.

Force Majeure

Lanka Excursions Holidays defines Force Majeure as: "Any circumstances beyond the reasonable control of a party which prevent or impede the due performance of our services, including but not limited to war or hostilities; riot or civil commotion; epidemic; earthquake, flood or other natural disasters." The traveler and his agent warrant that Lanka Excursions Holidays and its subsidiaries shall not be responsible and/or liable for costs or missed opportunities due to changes and/or cancellations.

Liability

Lanka Excursions Holidays shall do its utmost to provide services to the best of its ability and work towards full satisfaction of the client. Lanka Excursions Holidays acts solely as an intermediary between the traveler, his travel agent or tour operator, and local hotels, restaurants, boat companies and ground transportation companies. Lanka Excursions Holidays is therefore not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by the traveler, including those occurring outside the tour programs. We shall in no event be liable to the traveler or his travel agent, by reason of breach of services or unsatisfactory services provided to the traveler by third parties or by way of indemnity or in tort or otherwise, for any loss, injury, damage, delay, change in schedule or other adverse events which are beyond the control of Lanka Excursions Holidays and/or sustained by an act or default of any person or company providing the services to the traveler.

Amendments

Lanka Excursions Holidays & First House reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and from time to time without any prior notice. Kindly be advised to check at our website for the latest Terms and Conditions.
