![]() Bambarakanda is by far the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka. The fall lies at the southern slopes of Horton Plains National Park in an evergreen pine forest in the area of Kalupahana. Concerning the amounts of water, this is only a thin horsetail waterfall during most of the year. Under extreme dry conditions, the waterfall can sometimes be almost invisible, when the Walawe Ganga tributary Kuda Oya forming the Bambarakanda Fall is almost dried out.
