I traveled to Srilanka with my family of 5 people last week (for 4 day package trip pre-booked ). We landed in Colombo on 15/10/2015 early morning. Since Colombo being not just a new place but entirely new country, I was bit cynical to start with. Then we met ever smiling Nuwan at the airport , he welcomed us whole hardheartedly. What caught us was his energy at 3 AM in the morning, , we were all a bit dodgy after the flight but Nuwan being friendly folk that he is quickly stuck a conversation and got us all excited for days ahead .
Nuwan was not just a thorough professional but had a charismatic personality with a heart of gold. Yes most of the itinerary was pre-booked but it was Nuwan the "Facilitator" who truly made our trip memorable.
If there is anybody who is looking or planning for Srilankan trip, I will highly recommend his services.

k heb Sri Lanka bezocht voor 4 weken met een bevriend echtpaar.
Wij hebben van te voren een lijst met onze reisdoelen doorgegeven aan Nuwan met daarbij evt. hotels Hij heeft heel de reis heel goed voorbereid. We hebben zelf een paar dagen in Negombo verbleven, daar heeft hij ons opgehaald. Vandaar via Ella naar de Oostkust naar Arugam Bay/ Batticaloa naar Trincomalee. Een geweldige reis langs de Oostkust. Daarna hebben we gebruik gemaakt van zijn guesthouse in Mihintale. Een geweldige kamer met badkamer en ontbijt. Wat een geweldig huis. Wij hebben het "het witte huis" genoemd. Vandaar naar het Noorden, Jaffna Vanuit ons hotel hebben we het noorden bezocht; Point Pedro/ Kantharodai/ Keerimalai en als hoogtepunt het bezoek aan het eiland Delft.
Een eiland waar weinig mensen wonen en er heel veel wilde paarden te zien zijn. Nog een overblijfsel van de Portugese periode en natuurlijk van onze eigen VOC. Heerlijk daar Toddy ( palm wijn gedronken). Terug via het schiereiland Mannar tot aan Talaimannar, met de Adams Bridge. Weer enkele dagen in zijn guesthouse geweest en daarna door naar Puttalam/Klapitiya. een heerlijk ressort aan het strand van de Indische oceaan. ( Dolphin Village Hotel in Norochchola, echt aan te bevelen). Via Chilaw terug naar Negombo, met name de wijk Pettah, rondom het treinstation van Colombo. In Negombo hebben we afscheid genomen van Nuwan met onze zeer hartelijke dnak voor wat hij allemaal voor heeft gedaan. Nog een paar dagen genoten van Sri Lanka en toen weer terug nar Nederland.
Ik kan u van harte aanbevelen, als u een reis naar Sri Lanka wil maken om met Nuwan contact op te nemen, duidelijk aangeven wat u wil en hen dat laten regelen.Op die manier zijn de kosten voor een hotel ook lager dan dat u dat zelf regelt en betaalt.

Hi Nuwan!
My plan was definitely to give this review as soon as I got back to Sweden, but then time just flew away...
Me, my husband Johan and our very good friends Lotta and Christer had the opportunity to be taken care of by Nuwan between the 29th of December 2015 to the 10th of January 2016. We spent wonderful days in Sri Lanka and Nuwan was not only an excellent driver but also a terrific guide and a nice and funny guy! Thank's a lot for unforgettable days!

Wij hebben met Nuwan twee weken in Sri Lanka rondgereisd. Ons gezelschap bestond uit 4 volwassen en 2 kinderen. We hebben een rondreis gemaakt langs de hoogtepunten van Sri Lanka waarbij er rekening gehouden is dat we met kinderen (8 en 10 jaar) reisde. De reis was hier ook op afgestemd!

Niets was Nuwan te veel en hij heeft ons ontzettend veel laten zien. Daarnaast is Nuwan goed op de hoogte van de geschiedenis van Sri Lanka en is hij de perfecte gids. Ook de kinderen konden het erg goed met hem vinden en konden lachen om zijn grapjes en de manier waarop hij hen bij de reis betrok.

Al met al een prima verzorgde reis waarbij ik Nuwan kan aanbevelen als professionele en goed geïnformeerde gids.

Nogmaals Nuwan heel hartelijk dank voor de prima verzorgde reis!

We travelled two weeks with 4 adults and 2 childeren through Sri Lanka. We have seen a lot of highlights and also the childeren liked the way he talked about the highlights we saw. Nuwan is bood informed guide and he van tell a lot during the journey and about the highlights we visit together with him. Also he knows the local places where you have good dood for reasonable prices and with good views. Nuwan can book all accomodations conform you wish at good prices.

Greetings from Sandip Vora & family.
We started one of our memorable, adventurous & lovely trip on 17 th May'16 landing on Colombo airport at 6 am with smiling and energetic and cool Nuwan.
He is an organised, systematic & co-operative person and made our trip to Sri lanka an excellent one.
From opening umbrellas at Pinnewala to waiting at 5.45 am for Yale safari ride, or from taking us to water sports rides at Bentota to an evening stroll to kandy mall cum market, Nuwan is a cut above the rest.
I could see the dampness in the eyes of my kids on separating at the airport.
A guide, a gentleman and above all a good person.
We would love to travel anywhere in this world with Nuwan as our Guide, Chauffeur and Tour operator.

Whats up nuwan!
I went to Sri Lanka for a vacation with my aunt and cousins and had the good fortune of having nuwan as our guide. he's a really cool guy, polite, well informed and very accommodating.
he organised a motorcycle tour for me where we rode 80km across the Sri Lankan countryside and it was by far one of the best travelling experiences i have ever had.
nuwan knows what a tourist needs and wants and is more than happy to deliver.

NUWAN el MEJOR GUIA DE SRI LANKA!!

Tuve la suerte de conocer a Nuwan en el verano del pasado año 2010 durante mis vacaciones en la isla.
Su carácter decidido y amable, su gran hospitalidad y su gran conocimiento del lugar fueron la clave para que le contratara como guia durante unos dias. Fue un gran acierto!!

Nuwan me enseñó lugares fascinantes y muchos rincones del país fuera de los circuitos turísticos como Mihintale , su ciudad natal. Durante mi estancia recorrimos juntos en moto los lugares más conocidos como Sigiriya, Dambula, Anuradhapura, así como playas preciosas como las de la zona de Trincomalee.

Con él descubrí un montón de la cultura del país, comimos en restaurantes locales, fuimos a comprar pescado fresco en mercados, conocimos gente muy maja y sobretodo me hico sentir como una más del país, siempre adaptándose a mi presupuesto, mis prioridades y mis intereses. Incluso me llevó a un Spa Ayurvédico para hacerme un super buen masaje. Visitamos también un jardín botánico precioso que nadie debería perderse en su visita a Sri Lanka.

Terminamos nuestra ruta en Kandy que fue un final de viaje inolvidable con uno de los festivales más espectaculares del país.

De todo corazón les recomiendo un viaje a Sri Lanka en compañia de Nuwan!
A su lado disfrutaran un montón y descubriran el país en su esencia y viviran un viaje que seguro dejará huella para siempre en sus corazones!! Seguro desearan volver!!

Goede reis gehad..

We waren van plan geweest de trein van Kandy naar Ella te pakken.. Zonder reservering weliswaar.. Trein was echter bizar vol, dit was geen optie. Hierdoor op zoek naar andere oplossing.
Taxi van Kandy naar Ella met zn vieren.
Dat kon met Numan, goede keuze gebleken..dochter werd snel al wagenziek.. De goede zorgen van Numan hebben geholpen tijdens de mooie tocht door de bergen.prima curry gegeten onderweg en nog gestopt bij theefabriek.
Numan dank voor de goede zorgen en de goede reis..
We kunnen Numan en zijn luxe AC Van aanbevelen voor een korte of een lange reis door Sri Lanka. Numan spreekt diverse talen waaronder Nederlands.

Als gezin (kinderen 18 en 15 jaar) hebben wij 15 dagen lang een fantastische tijd in Sri Lanka gehad. Van te voren onze wensen kenbaar gemaakt aan onze gids, chauffeur en gastheer, Nuwan Chinthaka Gajanayakan en in goede samenspraak het programma opgesteld. Gedurende de reis was het geen probleem om bijvoorbeeld in plaats van vogels te spotten een heel indrukwekkend boeddhistisch festival te bezoeken. Nuwan hield rekening met de leeftijd van de kinderen en zo bleek zijn voorstel om een wildpark te bezoeken in plaats van het geplande olifantenweeshuis een goede keus. Hij is enthousiast om alles over zijn land te vertellen en heeft oprechte interesse in zijn gasten. Nuwan is een prettige chauffeur en het reizen met zijn busje was echt aangenaam maar bovenal is hij een goede gids en gastheer; niets is hem te veel.
Wij verbleven ook nog 3 dagen in zijn guesthouse in Mihintale, waar we sliepen op comfortabele matrassen in ruime kamers. Daar hebben we het een en ander geleerd over de Srilankaanse keuken en tijdens een picknick bij het meer hebben we heerlijke gerechten kunnen proeven.
Vooral dankzij Nuwan hebben wij Sri Lanka op een heel prettige manier leren kennen en onuitwisbare indrukken op gedaan!!!!

Thanks so much Nuwan- we had the holiday of a lifetime!
It was so great not to have to worry about arranging travel everywhere and to be able to just enjoy the spectacular sights. Plus I’m glad you were the one driving considering we had to avoid lizards, cattle, monkeys and elephants crossing the road, not to mention the tuk-tuks and brightly painted buses. Again, much better to let you handle all that and sit back to take in the wondrous scenery.
Speaking of which, it makes such a difference having a knowledgeable guide: we went to see the ancient city of Polonaruwa on the day of the Moon Festival and Nuwan chose exactly the right times for us to drive in and out and avoid the traffic. The city was so atmospheric with all the pilgrims dressed in white and making offerings outside the stupas and the giant statues carved out of the rock.
Nuwan also ensured we saw a majestic leopard in Yala National Park. Not everyone was so fortunate but we had a prime viewing spot and watched the leopard for a good ten minutes as it basked in the sun on a large rock next to the road.
We crossed the island several times but the journeys were comfortable with plenty of leg room and air-conditioning. Nuwan knew the best restaurants to stop at and the better souvenir shops where we could look around in peace without being hassled every step of the way.
All in all, we couldn’t have found a better guide and chauffeur: always cheerful, informative and helpful. You always made the extra effort for us and we really appreciate it.

Thanks for choosing my services for your very intense Sri Lanka round tour and for informing my review readers about it. I will never forget travelling with you, though hiking with a German lady can sometimes be exhausting for a Sri Lankan men indeed - only joking, you were exhausted, too, on that Horton Plains day, weren’t you?

I also liked your idea to visit some less-known places such as Pilikuttuwa or Arankale and to see many more things in Mihintale than normal half-day visitors do. So it’s good for me you highlight my special expertise for off-the-beaten-path destination and recommend genuine travel experiences to others. Particularly, I remember you were surprised, how much places of interest are in Mihintale and its immidiate surrounding. I quickly understood, you are an experienced traveller very interested in our culture. All in all, we had good luck with the weather conditions in all the various regions of Sri Lanka you visited. And I never saw more elephants in Udawalawe than on that safari tour with you. You must have attracted them.

Sri Lanka Holiday

I had the very rare chance to travel a few times to Sri Lanka based on the fact that I quickly became friend with Nuwan and his family. Nuwan as an effective professional helped me plan different circuits that gave me the opportunity to visit the whole country, a very beautiful and welcoming one. As Nuwan and I we became good friends, I enjoyed his company and he helped me get to know in depth the country, its people, culture and spirituality. Of course, I'll go back again and this time to visit Nuwan and his wonderful family.

Our trip to Sri Lanka was made wonderful by our hosts Luxe Asia and our Executive Chauffer and guide Nuwan Gajanayaka. Prompt and punctual, energetic and with a sense of humour, Nuwan was very knowledgeable about the terrain as well as the history and geography of the land. He drove his new car very well and kept it brand new. His presence added a lot of value to the trip in terms of briefings as well as packing in the most. Over time he became friends with the entire family and built a bond with the boys as well. Ever willing to help, he demonstrated flexibility and a high degree of customer centricity which will surely give him a competitive edge as he builds his business.
We surely enjoyed our trip with Nuwan and our thanks to Thomas Cook and Luxe Asia for organizing this excursion.

My trip to Srilanka with Mr, Nuwan is excellant,

He is very professional guide with very good knowledge he knows what he is doing, He does multi task while driving very carefully he can also give a knowledgeable information of various excursions I have visited with him, His command over the English language is brillant an we can converse with him very well, He has taken us to various cultural heritage sites with excellent explain very good to remember. Also he assist me to do my shopping in the villages economically, I think for Sri Lanka he is an excellent full of knowledge and experience guide I will surely recommend him to all I know in UK and other parts of the world. He can also speak various other languages such as Italian and his own mother tongue. He has a comfortable van/coach. I travelled with him in a group with elderly persons and he also look after their comfort, He is very friendly in a professional manner very polite and curtious I surely feel he must be considered by Trip Advisor and others should not think twice to book him. We loved our tour with Nuwan. Nuwan customized a trip of a lifetime for us and our kids. We rented motorcycles, visited temples, toured national parks, ruins, the beach -- we couldn't have asked for anything more! We were with Nuwan for almost three weeks (December 19, 2016 - January 5, 2017), and every day was a new surprise. Nuwan is extremely knowledgeable, and was able to tell us about Sri Lankan history, culture, birds, wildlife. And he's always smiling. One of the highlights of our tour was staying at his guesthouse, First House, and enjoying a cooking class with him and his mom.

If you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka, choose Nuwan as your guide.

Our trip with Nuwan was one of the best experiences of my life. We were able to see the country from motorcycles, bikes, van and tuk tuk! We felt incredibly supported by Nuwan and especially loved visiting First House and taking a cooking class with Nuwan's mother. The entire trip was packed full everyday of new and exciting things. I was so sad to leave and hope to go back again someday soon. Thank you for everything Nuwan!

Last August Nuwan took my family on a tour of the west coast/cultural triangle. We had booked through UK agents.If we ever return to Sri Lanka we shall contact Nuwan direct to make all the arrangements. We shall recommend him without reservation to any of our friends/family intending to visit Sri Lanka. He is the best tour leader we as a family have ever had . We have arrived in Singapore en route to our home after an amazing 11 days touring Sri Lanka with the most amazing guide, Mr Nuwan Gajanayaka. We thoroughly enjoyed Nuwan's amazing commentary, ever-friendly disposition, knowledge of everything Sri Lanka, immaculately maintained vehicle and safe transport all around his beautiful country. We feel very fortunate to have met Nuwan and all five of us (including children aged 12, 10 and 8) are already missing his smiling face greeting us each day and looking after us at every destination. Nuwan is extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and an all round lovely, kind man. If you're considering a trip to Sri Lanka, do not hesitate. Even for a family with kids, the country is absolutely wonderful and enjoyable. So many places to visit and stay that a well planned schedule is highly recommended. And here comes Nuwan. Not only a superb driver in the tricky Sri Lankan traffic, but a higly skilled tour organizer and guide. With a deep knowledge of Sri Lanka history, he invites to see the country through different eyes. Cannot list all the recommendations he made and how he struggled to make our stay easy and flawless.
Kids (12, 10 & 6) were loving him since the very first minute, and his perfect english and understanding of their needs made it even easier.
We cannot imagine our trip without him!

We had hired Nuwan as our tour guide for the duration of our stay in Sri Lanka. We found ourselves extremely pleased with our choice of hiring him. Nuwan is very friendly, and a pleasant driver. He was very accommodative with our particular needs and requirements, as he took his time out to ensure that our trip itinerary reflected what we wanted and would enjoy. Siamo una famiglia con un bambino di 5 anni, appena rientrata da un bellissimo viaggio di due settimane in Sri Lanka. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trovare Nuwan come driver e guida, una persona professionale, attenta, paziente, disponibile, simpatica, onesta, generosa. Abbiamo infatti potuto vivere esperienze che altrimenti ci saremmo persi, visitato senza incombenze e preoccupazioni luoghi incantevoli, viaggiato con comodità nel suo nuovo e spazioso van, e parlava con noi in un buon italiano! Insomma, senza Nuwan il viaggio non sarebbe stato così speciale.
Negli ultimi giorni abbiamo soggiornato nel suo Airbnb, First House, a Mihintale. Una casa bella e accogliente, di cui si occupa anche la madre, una donna gentilissima, che prepara e insegna a cucinare un delizioso curry! Abbiamo apprezzato la pulizia, la pace, la disponibilità e la gentilezza.

Lanka Tours ( Nuwan) were incredibly helpful and totally reliable when we came to book and organise our travel around Sri Lanka.
They suggested a suitable itinerary and assisted with the booking of some spectacular hotels and homestays.
The driver ( Anura) was very safe and trustworthy, as well as being knowledgeable about Sri Lanka
We would use them again and would highly recommend them to any traveler wishing to see and experience the real Sri Lanka

We, parents with two teenagers, had a six day trip in Sri Lanka. Recommended by a friend we hired Nuwan as our driver and guide. Best choice ever!!! Thanks to him our journey was perfect. He knows every corner of Sri Lanka and is able to organize your tour fulfilling your wishes.
We highly recommend him and for sure we will come back to visit the remaining parts we couldn't see, with Nuwan of course.
He is almost fluent in Italian.

We were four adults looking to travel to Ulagalla Resort near Anuradhapura from our hotel in Colombo, and not wanting to be dragging suitcases to, and on public transport systems to get there, but a door to door service.
I found good reviews about Lanka Excursions Holidays and contacted Nuwan and I am so glad I did. Not only did we get a comfortable late model air-conditioned van, but received plenty of information about Sri Lanka from Nuwan, our ever smiling and friendly driver/guide.
We used Nuwan's services the following couple of days as well to visit The Ancient City of Anuradhapura, Mihintale, Sigiryra, and other attractions of the area.
We received so much more than we paid for, as Nuwan organised his mother to cook up a delicious home cooked Paduru lunch at his house and totally won me over by offering us an icy cold beer (two actually).
I have no hesitation in recommending Nuwan and his team for anyone looking for an owner/driver and guide that's reliable, friendly and knowledgeable, and who runs a well organised operation.
I personally would like to use this review to thank Nuwan and his family for the services they provided.

Our Sri Lanka Holiday.
Our family group of 6 adults visited Sri Lanka in July and early August 2017 for an 18 day in country holiday. It was organised through an agency, but Nuwan was our driver and guide.
We could not have been more fortunate in our allocation to Nuwan. A cheerful smiling soul, his dedication to making our Sri Lanka experience enjoyable, and memorable for all of the right reasons, could not be faulted. He knew his stuff, including all of the little attractions which made the trip especially memorable, and did suggest side tours which were extras, but we were very happy to accept his suggestions, and found them most enjoyable.
Our older group were able to participate fully in the programme, (although only one of us was silly enough to climb Lion Rock, 1200 steps up and the same down), and Sri Lanka is a wonderful place to do it in. The people were welcoming, the culture is inclusive, and there are plenty of interesting things to see and do. The various aspects of the British, Portugese, Dutch, and local cultures interacted in a very positive way.
Nuwan is a good driver (important in Sri Lanka), and his Toyota van was very comfortable,, and well kept.
Our experience was totally positive, and we would recommend a tour of Sri Lanka with Nuwan, without hesitation.

My wife and I plus three good firiends took a 15 day tour with Nunan in October. I could go on and on about his service, his endeavours to ensure that we were having a good time and his great sense of humour.
Nunan delivered on every thing he promised us and then added soon more highlights along the way. He consulted with us along the way and changed the itinerary to suit our needs when we changed our minds about what we wanted to do.
His knowledge of the country and its re was excellent and his running commentary about the culture was fascinating and informative.
All of us felt very comfortable with his driving skills which in SL are needed as the roads are not great and neither are some of the drivers who share the road,
I would fully recommend Nunan to anyone who is looking for a guide in SL. He is trustworthy and always tried to ensure that we got value for money around all our activities and purchases.
Thanks again NuWan you gave us a fabulous trip and memories to last us a lifetime.

We (Gerard en Hilde)hebben genoten van onze tour door Sri Lanka. Na onze wensen bekend te hebben gemaakt is Lanka-Excursions-Holidays aan de slag gegaan. Verder onderling contact leverde als resultaat een prachtige tour van vier weken op. De hotels/ homestays/guesthouses zijn gereserveerd door L.E.H.op de afgesproken plaatsen. Het vervoer, grotendeels in een prachtige ruime bus met airco, werd verzorgd door L.E.H. Onderweg was Nuwan onze reisleider, vervoerder, adviseur. Hij heeft ons talloze voorstellen, aanbevelingen, tips aangereikt. Hij was zeer flexibel in het aanpassen van het programma. We hebben de reis van ons leven gehad. Zijn op veel plaatsen geweest ( van Negombo langs de kust naar Galle, via Unawatuna, Udawalawe NP en Yale NP naar oostkust (Arugam Bay). Via Ella, Nuwara Elia naar Kandy ( prachtig door de theevelden met de trein). Daarna langs Sigiriya, Mineriaya, en Trincomalee belandden we in het zeer gastvrije guesthouse in Mihintale. We hebben op deze manier erg veel gezien en beleefd op veel plaatsen in Sri Lanka. Kortom een top organisatie met een top reisbegeleider. Mocht een verblijfplaats niet voldoen, en dat is voorgekomen, dan werd direct actie ondernomen op dit te herstellen. Een onvergetelijk reis geheel ingericht naar eigen wensen en aanbevelingen van Nuwan op basis van mogelijkheden. Van mij krijgt L.E.H. een 10 en onze begeleider Nuwan een 11. Bedankt Nuwan. Excellent!

Ich möchte mich bei Nuwan für die perfekte Organisation und Durchführung meiner gebuchten Touren bedanken. Nuwan als Guide und Manoj als Driver waren jeden Tag super pünktlich an meinem Hotel. Die Touren in das kulturelle Dreieck und die Nationalparks waren super organisiert und sehr informativ. Nuwan hat mir einen tollen Einblick in Land und Kultur gegeben. Ich werde bei meinem nächsten Sri Lanka Urlaub sicherlich meine ganze Reise über Nuwan buchen.

To all discerning and potential travelers to Sri Lanka,

I am a Malaysian who traveled to Sri Lanka with my girlfriend. As per any travelers, we would do a thorough research online about our destination. Due to budget constraints, we decided to take the public buses and trains since generally it is doable as per our research.

However, it was not the case as the public bus and train network was not as developed as we expected. Being spoilt Malaysians with the blessing of a car to be driven around, we realized that we needed something different.

Our first stop was in First House, Nuwan's house in Mihintale. Greeted by a genuine, friendly Sri Lankan smile, he offered us a few options from the perspective of a local (he also offered options that was not to his advantage). We hesitated in the first place, however we gladly accepted his service.

From that very moment onwards, it was history. I have traveled to South America, around Southeast Asia, 60% of Europe, China, parts of Asia, and this was indeed the BEST vacation I have ever had, and it was possible with Nuwan being our guide and driver. The sweet Sri Lankan smile greeted us every morning when we met him. His 'limousine' (he jokingly calls his vehicle a limousine) was immaculate and extremely comfortable all the time. He is a very hard-working and knowledgeable about the country, and constantly strives to take the shortest routes between cities to ease the long traveling hours. Attentiveness, I would rate 10/10 - he was always very attentive to our needs, and flexible in the last minute change to our schedules. One word to sum him up - an ALL-ROUNDER!! In the eleventh hour, he managed to find us a place to stay - there was an instance a hotel was not up to expectation.

If you want a Sri Lankan vacation with a very upbeat atmosphere, Nuwan is the perfect person. You will get your daily dose of jokes from him!! Your trip is guaranteed to be a truly memorable one with such a tour guide/driver!! As I am writing this, memories of the vacation came back - I really miss the trip with him. It was an amazing and personal trip with him. In this vacation, I have a new Sri Lankan brother in Mr. Nuwan Gajayanaka!!

endlich finde ich die Zeit, eine kurze Rückmeldung zu unserer Reise im März 2018 durch das wunderschöne Sri Lanka zu geben.
Über Freunde hatten wir deine Dienste empfohlen bekommen. Wir, meine Frau und ich, planten eine 1-wöchige Rundreise durch Sri Lanka und alle dazu erforderlichen Absprachen und Buchungen sind perfekt organisiert worden. Wir wurden am Flufhafen von unserem Guide Chiran empfangen worden und Chiran hat uns die gesamte Woche excellent begleitet und gefahren. Wir haben einen echten Freund gewonnen. Wir haben viele phantastische Sehenswürdigkeiten Sri Lankas besucht. Die Übernachtungen in den Gasthäusern waren perfekt gewählt, die Organisation ebenfalls.

My family group of 5 have just had the best holiday in Sri Lanka due to Nuwan. From the beginning when organizing our holiday Nuwan read my emails made some suggestions and worked out a great itinerary for us. We arrived at the airport to be greeted by the happiest man ever. And this happy nature lasted for our entire 3 week holiday with him. Nuwan is a great driver - a necessity in Sri Lanka, he is very informative and nothing was a trouble. His car is very comfortable and we had plenty of room for our group of 5. With Nuwans help we saw a huge area of Sri Lanka, it's different environments, history, culture, and wild life. If Nuwan spotted an elephant near the road he stopped for us, he stopped whenever we wanted to take photos or needed to. Nuwan is very flexible and thoughtful of his clients. I stayed at nuwan place in sri Lankan and had him for our guide all throw Sri Lankan for 3 weeks and had a fantastic time he helped us on our whole trip .i dont think we could have a better guide ( i would have to call him a great friend ).Nuwan thankyou so much and ill see you when i return

Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Zeit in Sri Lanka! Mit Nuwan unterwegs zu sein ist ab dem ersten Tag, als ob ein alter Schulfreund einem das Land Zeigt. Wir waren insgesamt zwei Wochen mit ihm unterwegs und haben von Nord nach Süd die üblichen Highlights, aber auch hier und da das nicht so touristische Sri Lanka kennen gelernt. Nuwan ist nicht einfach nur ein Fahrer, sondern wenn es die Situation erfordert auch Tourguide, Entertainer, Reiseveranstalter und immer ein loyaler Freund. Dadurch, dass er selbst rumgekommen ist und z.B. In Europa gelebt hat, versteht er schnell wie man tickt und hat ein gutes Gefühl dafür, was einen interessiert. Danke für die schöne Zeit und “till next time” ;-)

Our family of 3 was met at Colombo Airport by Nuwan and from that point on our holiday in Sri Lanka was terrific! His very clean, spacious and comfortable van had a constant supply of cold water and super informative commentary supplied by Nuwan. His knowledge of the history and culture of his country was impressive and he capably answered all our very many questions. He is a very safe driver and proved himself skilled and unflappable, despite the fact that our itinerary took him to new places and onto some unfamiliar roads! PRIVATE DRIVER/Guide
Three friends and myself (all females) travelled safely around Sri Lanka for 2 1\2 weeks.
Nuwan was always in good spirits and very patient which made us all at ease
We planned ahead of our trip, giving our plans of where we wanted to visit, including the Kandy Festival, to Nuwan
We chose to have him put our plans together, including accommodation choices and all entry fees to the sites we would be visiting.
This saved us bringing too much cash and made the tour go smoothly
We had no problem with sending the final balance owing 21days ahead of our trip
Nuwan was at the airport when we arrived 😅

In Nuwans Person vereinigen sich viele Fähigkeiten und Eigenschaften. Er ist Geschäftsführer einer Reiseagentur. Er ist ein cleverer Reiseleiter und Eigentümer eines kleinen Hotels in Mihintale. Er beherrscht seinen Kleinbus souverän und ist stets bemüht seine Kunden zufrieden zu stellen. Wir waren zwei Wochen mit Nuwan unterwegs. Sämtliche Wünsche wurden uns erfüllt, auch Sonderwünsche. Wir haben auf unserer Rundreise dank seiner Kenntnisse viel gesehen und haben mit ihm viel Spaß gehabt. Im seinem FIRST HOUSE in Mihintale haben wir uns wohl gefühlt. Seine Mutter hat feine schmackhafte singhalesische Gerichte gekocht. Nuwans Reiseagentur LANKA EXCURSIONS HOLIDAYS und sein FIRST HOUSE in MIHINTALE können nur wärmstens empfohlen werden.
Nuwan's person combines many skills and qualities. He is managing director of a travel agency. He is a smart tour guide and owner of a small hotel in Mihintale. He controls his minibus sovereign and always strives to satisfy his customers. We were traveling with Nuwan for two weeks. All requests were fulfilled, also special requests. Thanks to his knowledge, we saw a lot on our tour and had a lot of fun with him. We felt well in his FIRST HOUSE in Mihintale. His mother cooked fine Sinhala dishes. From the moment we arrived in Sri Lanka at Columbo airport Nuwan was there to greet us with a beautiful welcoming smile and a gorgeous necklace. Prior to travel we knew we were in for a great trip as Nuwan had listened to our wishes via email and tailor made our holiday accordingly. I cannot express enough what a delightful character he is. As two girls travelling alone we felt so well looked after as he chose perfect hotels for us, as well as trips that embraced our interests. His 20 plus years experience provides value for money as he has many contacts, so much so if it rained he could adapt and suggest other things to do.
Sri Lanka is a beautiful country. With the world changing rapidly and the impact of climate change we felt Sri Lanka sticks to its convictions by not exhausting the land to cater for the masses. The mining for gems is ethical, using no heavy machinery and the Aryuvedic medicines are exclusive. They value their land, which is so refreshing.
You MUST stay at First House! Nuwan’s mums cooking is superb and you MUST get Nuwan to make you pumpkin soup! Yum yum!!
He’s fab and I know he will remain a life long friend Thank you Nuwan for such a special enlightening trip. You are a truly lovely person. Thank you

Having just completed a 2 week tour of Sri Lanka, the ease with which we travelled was all down to Nuwan.
Can't recommend him highly enough.
His 20 years experience in the industry shines through. He listens to your needs and wishes and then workes incredibly hard on your behalf.

He is passionate about Sri Lanka which only makes it infectious.

Nuwan war unser Begleiter in seinem damaligen Heimatort Mihintale, aber nach dieser ersten Eindruck der einheimische Begleiter unserer Wahl für unseren Ausflug nach Polonnaruwa. Außer Nuwans Kenntnisreichtum ist auch seine Art des herzlichen persönlichen Umgangs natürlich ein Grund, seine Dienste als "ausgezeichnet" zu bewerten. Er behandelt einen wirklich als Freund und nicht nur als Kunden und legt großen Wert darauf, dass man von seinem Mutterland, wie er es nennt, den bestmöglichen Eindruck mit nach Hause nimmt." Thank you so much for a wonderful and memorable trip. It started with our friend suggesting to contact Mr Nuwan for planning this trip. He listened to all my concerns , my queries and guided me to plan a great trip for us. He was very prompt with all the replies and bookings. Very Polite and was always approachable. Any query, just pick up the phone and call. He is always ready to help. Thank you, Nuwan.

From the time we landed in Colombo to the time we boarded the flght back , Nuwan was there with us for everything. He had arranged everything in advance and there was no last minute hurry. Guy with a great sense of humour and we Never felt bored sitting in the car travelling from one location to another. Also he shared the History , culture and traditions of Sri Lanka. Very smooth driving and reliable .

He took us to really amazing restaurants , beach side with great views and of course, great food.
Due to unusal rains, a few activities were cancelled, but Nuwan kept coordinating with them to check if it could be rescheduled for the next tiime. He kept trying.
Nuwan, Wish you all success and great years ahead. Thank you so much for a Great and Memorable holiday. Thank you so much for the gifts. That was very kind of you.
