Arawakumbura Ella, also known as "Small Dunhinda", is a rarely visited group of three waterfalls in Badulla District. It's formed by the Ibban Oya, which is a tributary of the Gal Oya. The Ibban river is rich in water throughout the year, even during dry seasons. The uppermost cacade of Arawakumbura Ella is the highest one. With more than 40 meters, it's among the top 50 waterfalls of Sri Lanka.
The waterfalls of Arawakumbura are situated very close to the A5 highway near the village of the same, 7 km (4 miles) north of Lunugala and 11 km (7 miles) south of Bibile.
Though it can be heard, the waterfall is not visible from the main road, unless you walk a little bit on private property for a better view from this distance. However, a steep jungle path to the bottom of the fall starts just at the opposite side of the bridge crossing the river. Even steeper and more dangerous is a branch trail leading to the foot of the two lower cascades. There is no view point from where all three waterfalls can be seen together.
1.5 km (1 mile) towards Bibile, there is another waterfal called Alawaththagoda Naya Kadura Ella on the other side of the A5 highway.
