Morning Safari: If you like to be among the first to 30th jeeps, you must arrive at the park entrance gate at around 4.00 am (leave your hotel around 3.30 am). Itinerary:
Day 1 Meet and greet with our expert range driver, who is an wildlife expert of the three national parks Yala and Bundala and Lunugamvehera. He will help you to spot the birds and other animals such as crocodiles and elephants. Once you arrive back to the hotels, you can relax for several hours and enjoy your lunch, before starting your longer afternoon safari Departure time at the hotel for the Lunugamvehera 4WD jeep safari, which starts at the park entrance at around 1.30 pm. You will leave the wildlife park at 5.45 or 6.00 pm and arive at zour hotel around 6.30 pm. Day 2 This 4-wheeled jeep safari day equals our Full Day Yala program mentioned above (see Tour Code: SL-YS-01D): 5.00 am start at your hotel in Tissamaharama or Kirinda leaving Yala national park around 5.45 pm return to the hotel around 6.30 pm Special notes: On request, the morning could also be spent in Yala instead of Bundala for the same price. You have to stay at Yala Beach or on the river bank during the midday hours from 12.00 to 2.00 pm, as jeep drives are not permitted in this period. A small cafeteria and standard washroom facilities are available in the beach area. If you like to be among the first 5 to 10 jeeps in the often crowded national park of Yala, you must arrive at the park entrance gate at around 4.00 am (leave your hotel around 3.30 am). This requires an extra payment of $ 25 USD in total for the entire group in your jeep. Accommodation is not included in the tour costs. To participate in this 2-days itinerary you have to stay 3 nights in Tissamaharama or Kirinda near Yala national park.
