Pick-up at your hotel in or near Anuradhapura around 1.00 pm
(The hotel can also be located in Mihintale or Thirappane.) First, we stop at an imposing Banyan tree. Afterwards, you will see the replica of the Indian stupa called Sanchi No.1. Tea with snacks will be served in the old lady's house The snacks include local butter cake, ginger biscuits, sesame and jaggery sweets. These home made cakes of the house are less fatty than bakery cakes. Exploring Mihintale Ancient Site Afterwards, you will visit monuments of Mihintale picturesquely located in a group of hills, including: Invitation Rock, Maha Stupa (sunset point), Ambasthala Stupa, Lion Pond, refectory, Kantanka Chetiya, caves. Dinner in an old Sinhalese lady's house The dinner will consist of 5 different curries, including fish or chicken. The curries will be served with white rice and Sri Lankan rice noodles. Also you can taste Pol Roti, a Sri Lankan coconut bread, Papadam, and Pol Sambol. The desert is local fresh fruits (pineapple, bananas, water melon plus buffalo curd with treacle honey. Payment Policy We kindly request the following payment schedule: 1. Advance Payment: A deposit of 20% of the tour costs is to be paid upon confirmation. 2. Balance Payment: The remaining 80% of the tour price is due 48 hours prior to the start of the tour. If the booking is made within 48 hours of the scheduled time, a payment of 100% of the tour price is due immediately. Please let us know your preferred payment method from the options below: option 1: Online Payment You can pay securely using a credit card (Visa, or MasterCard) on our online payment gateway, but in this case 4% or the tour costs have to be charged additionally to cover card fees. Log-in details for the payment gateway will be sent to you upon confirmation. option 2: Wire Transfer For bank transfers, please ensure that all international bank charges are covered by the sender.
